Welcome to the Walsworth lab virtual tour! We're glad you're here. Take a peek at the slide show on the right to check out our space, or scroll down to learn more.

First stop is the Assembly Room, where lab members gather for discussion, supplies, and tools.

Next up is Optics Lab 1, which houses experiments for rare particle detection and new spin qubits.

Superresolution for directional damage info

Optics Lab 2 hosts experiments pushing the boundaries of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) pulse sequence engineering.

Halibut is a multipurpose characterization setup.

The All-Optical QDM explores quantum sensing without microwaves.

This confocal tests applications of superadiabatic protocols.

In the High Field Room, experiments push methods development for NV Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NV-NMR), allowing sensitive chemical analysis of picoliter volumes at room temperature.

NV-NMR is being tested at high and low magnetic fields. Above is a large electromagnet capable of up to 1.5 Tesla!

The Shielded Room protects sensitive experiments from exterior magnetic noise.

The Bio-QDM maps weak magnetic fields from biological samples such as bacteria and nano-particles.

The NV-NMR Imager combines hyperpolarization and lock-in detection to spatially resolve chemical species at the micron scale.

Thanks for stopping by! New stuff is happening all the time in the Walsworth Group, so check out our Research and Publications pages for the latest updates!
