Mason’s research focuses on showing feasibility and developing techniques for directional detection of dark matter in diamond, including studies of crystal damage and strain, color center creation, and high-stability high-resolution NV spectroscopy. More broadly, his research interests include precision measurement and applying AMO techniques to fundamental physics questions.
